Meera Bahl's Profile

About

Kamalini – lotus plant in Sanskrit - with its symbolism of purity and rising above the mundane, is my inspiration for this endeavor.
As a textile designer, watercolor artist and former fashion designer, I recently resurrected my creative past after a long sabbatical to raise my three children to adulthood.
My passion manifests itself through freehand painting on silks and cottons using special dyes, as well as creating screen-prints from my own artwork. I work in my kitchen doing everything by hand using the most basic raw materials.
I hope I can share some of my rejuvenated creativity with you.
