About

I'm a new Grandma and I love making things for my grandson. Unfortunately, he can't possibly wear everything I make, so here I am. I've been sewing since I was 10, with steady improvement, and eventually majored in Apparel Design in college. I did formal and bridal wear out of my home for about 10 years while my kids were in high school and "on the prom circuit," making formals for many of their friends. Homecoming, winter ball, and prom eventually gave way to bridesmaids' dresses and wedding gowns, which now have given way to maternity clothes and christening or baby dedication outfits. I loved making beautiful clothes for "my" girls, but was sad that they'd wear them only one time. These days I prefer making things that will be used over and over again, becoming well-worn, well-loved favorites.
