I am a contemporary textile designer and freelance photographer from the plains of North India, now at home in North London. My work draws inspiration from vibrant Indian street culture and life on the highways to create beautiful, striking, handcrafted products for the home.

Establishing a print studio in 2011 after graduating from Central Saint Martins and the National Institute of Fashion, fine textiles have actually run in the family for more than a 100 years. I maintain a strongly rooted heritage to local crafts and materials; combining screen-printing with traditional hand embroidery and appliqué.

Visual inspiration comes from the bold, kitsch objects and places of day-to-day life in the sub-continent: from graphics on highway trucks and auto rickshaws, ben-day dot Bollywood posters, holy cows, a carnival of kites, to the ever curious…

My textiles have recently been showcased at the V&A Museum, Southbank Centre and Milan Trienniale Design Museum.
