Hi, I am Karan Witham-Walsh; art teacher, potter, mom, wife, friend, sister, daughter...
I am a 1989 graduate of Miami University (GO REDHAWKS!) in art education (also Choraliers alum!). I have been teaching art for over 20 years now. (impressive- considering I am still sticking to my age as being 29! ;-) I was clearly gifted at a young age!)
When I have time, I love to make my own pottery and fused glass jewelry at home. What started as a hobby years ago to make gifts for others, has turned into a way to try to pay for some of my materials!
I have in the past done a few local art shows a year, although the past few years I have taken a break from that to focus on time with my family and my ETSY shop! (plus lugging all my stuff to shows is just EXHAUSTING!!!)

Also, in August of 2009, I was diagnosed with breast cancer- and after treatment am now declared cancer free... Because of this, I have incorporated a line of pink ribbon jewelry- and pottery! 50% (OR MORE!) of these "Pink Ribbon" purchases will go to breast cancer research and education!
