About

A born New Yorker, transplanted in Massachusetts, I have embraced my New England attitude. However, I still prefer to call my hadbag a purse and not a pocket book! After hanging up my stethoscope to raise my children, I picked up my tools to design and create things that inspire me.

I live on a mountain in a small Norman Rockwell-ish town with my husband and our two children.

I work from home where I am surrounded by many windows that provide me an abundance of natural light and three acres of land that lend to inspire. Mother Nature, my children, my nieces and other artists are my true muses when I am creating my designs.

Why Chartreuse?
First, chartreuse is a shade of green, according to my personal definition, both in color and in being conscience of the environment. And since it is only a 'shade of green' I do my best to think of what is disposable and used. My family constantly strives to preserve a better environmental future for our children. Second, the word ART, centered as it should be, as the foundation for all things created that is stimulating to evoke emotion.
Third, Reuse- is part of the word's make up, as it is important to some of my pieces that are made with vintage beads, metals and findings.
And last, my daughters nick- name- Char, short for Charlotte
is my girly muse.
So there you have it. C h a r t r e u s e was created.

My husband is also my most constructive critic from whom I love and value immeasurably; as he has been a founder and co- founder of several life long creative businesses. I invite you to visit www.onematchfilms.com for a collaboration of his most recent work. His previous creative business was working in an industry devoted to the creativity of famous artists and world renowned Architects utilizing the skill of laser technology. Therefore, he makes sure my work is held to the highest of standards.

MARCH NEWS:
I just completed a course in silver smithing and stone bezel setting for ring and pendant designs with an award winning Rhode Island Artist, Amie Plante; a graduate of RISD (Rhode Island School of Design)
I will be adding some new designs based on what I learned in the next few months.
