I grew up in a home filled with Antiques. My mother owned an antique shop in San Francisco, called "Thelma Dangerfield's". Early on I was on the hunt with her. I can still remember some amazing estate sales in San Francisco and some not so glamorous memories of Dumpster diving on one of those famous steep San Francisco hills. What I will always remember are the big dinner parties. My mom ALWAYS used her pretty antique china. She said, "That's what it's for!" I just loved that Duncan Phyhe table set so beautifully with Staffordshire dishes. I am forever grateful that she did use all of her treasures on a regular basis. It meant so much more than just having them on display in a hutch!
