Self-taught textile artist Kaysha Korrow, presents her original line of handmade dolls and accessories.
Born at home on a small farm in rural Kentucky, Kaysha Korrow’s artistic nature was allowed to unfold from an early age. She began making her first dolls at age three. Many of her early toys were handmade by her and her family. Growing up without television, video games, junk food, and much of the mental pollution that children have to fend off, Kaysha instead grew up in an idyllic setting amidst organic gardens, chickens, goats and cows. Kaysha spent her first years sewing by hand and by baking homemade bread for the local natural food co-op, she earned money to buy her first sewing machine. Along with sewing and other needle crafts, Kaysha is a student of costume design and technology at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
