I grew up in Dorset near the sea and the countryside, a youth full of wildlife and tree climbing.

I fell in love with art during my A-Level as it became the main focus in my life. I discovered I could express myself through painting and other media. As a result I had finally found the subject with which I naturally wanted to spend more and more time.

After a one-year Foundation Course at Bournemouth Arts Institute I read Fine Art at Bristol. The city inspired me to freely express any ideas I had, as Bristolians show no fear in finding their voice and have the confidence to SHOUT in such a positive way!

After university I returned to Dorset for four years where I completed silversmith and jewelry training while working part time. During this time I also rediscovered the Jurassic coast, spending many a night camping wild on its beautiful shores, all while developing my art. I also helped initiate and direct a community interest company in Poole, whose aim was to invigorate a local arts scene. We put on many events, but eventually I had to focus on my own professional development. Interest in my typewriter art grew following an increasing number of press and media features, initially locally before spreading internationally.

As my career escalated I decided it was time to give London a go and so I moved to Hammersmith in 2009. I’ve been making the most of being in London, establishing many valuable contacts in the short time I’ve been here.

The international connections continue to grow and I hope that, in time, I will be able to visit every country that has expressed an interest in my art.
