Kioni J. Sims' Profile

About

I'd have to say that I have been inspired by a multitude of people, places and things, but most of all by my former sister in-law. She taught me the basic ideas of how to make earrings... that was 10 years ago and from there I have taught others and have been inspired by others, but for the most part I am self taught.

About

I'd have to say that I have been inspired by a multitude of people, places and things, but most of all by my former sister in-law. She taught me the basic ideas of how to make earrings... that was 10 years ago and from there I have taught others and have been inspired by others, but for the most part I am self taught.
My first foray into jewelry was a disaster, you know fishing line that broke because of faulty crimp beads and heavy beads, but thankfully my Aunt Tera has helped me and taught me the best and strongest supplies to use as she is a jeweler herself and owns a jewelry store. To look at where I have come from and where I am now is a real growth process.
I also have a very difficult disease that I deal with on a daily basis, bipolar disorder and chronic depression... and for me jewelry designing and creating is the most therapeutic and calming process. And let me tell you I have tried it all.
I taught my mom, Vonnie, to bead she has been a real inspiration to me and has learned and developed the interchangeable watch bands. I have to tell you she is awesome... and it too has been trial and error, but she has developed quite a name for herself and has developed a business that uses my name because it is unique, Kioni's Jewelry Design. And this name has become correlated with her watch bands even more so than my designs.
We pride ourselves on having developed a good name and reputation in our hometown of Billings, Montana. We back our product 100% and offer money back or exchange, or will do whatever you deem necessary to satisfy YOUR needs. We are in it for the customer and their desires. We feel jewelry should be a luxury and make you feel lovely and happy, so PLEASE ENJOY!!!!
