Rosin Bean James' Profile

About

Kitchen Ink is an artistic endeavor conceived and developed by Rosin Bean James. In early days, Rosin printed patches on scrap fabric in the kitchen of a communal house in Oakland, California. Through out the growth of Kitchen Ink developing into a apparel line, designs have been inspired by travel. Images are inspired by locations and experiences across America. Collaged creatures are a pieced together home from cities all around such as Asheville, New York, Oakland, Seattle, and New Orleans. Kale and dandelions are inspired by years of living in the West Coast. Images of crawfish and alligators reference Kitchen Ink's current home of New Orleans. These designs illustrate our everyday lives with nostalgia, passion, a reverence for times past and a taste of bittersweet longing.

All of our work is printed by hand on organic cotton, 100% cotton, American made clothing, or recycled materials…
