Kim Fernandes' Profile

About

In my first career incarnation, I wrote and illustrated children's books, and over twenty years had the great pleasure of working with Kids Can Press, Scholastic, Doubleday, and Annick Press. My unique 3-D illustrations were created using polymer clay that was baked in a home oven and then photographed for publication. I also enjoyed presented at schools, festivals and public libraries all across North America.

I still enjoy creating but my new passion is searching for forgotten treasures! As a child, I loved digging around in my granny's closets, pulling out old family photos and dressing up in vintage clothes and costume jewelry.

Finding, researching and selling antique and vintage valuables provides me with the same thrill that I enjoyed as a child. Please browse my shop at: http://www.etsy.com/shop/knickknackflashback
