Kyoka Akers' Profile

About

My mother taught me how to crochet in 1994, when I was only 11 years old. Sitting with her day after day getting frustrated because I couldn't get my hook inside my chain stitch because it was to tight, and seeing how she never once got annoyed was the epitome of mother daughter bonding. That experience alone makes crocheting special and dear to my heart. It gives me a sense of peace and tranquility. Whenever I start a project nothing but good energy is flowing into each piece. Not to mention 18+ years of experience. So please know that each piece is not just made for the money, but for the pure joy of making someone else smile.
