The Story:

I have a Masters of Architecture and was working a job I hated. Luckily I was let go and turned to my love of sewing to occupy up my time. I started with one truly hideous winter hat for my husband's birthday and it evolved to where I was making new hats for my friends on a weekly basis.

My shops name:

My husband and I had a contract on a two flat in Bucktown (a neighborhood in Chicago) before the aforementioned layoff. Inspiration:

Chicago cyclists and riding in the city! There's nothing better than conversations at a stoplight about a lilac paint job on a vintage beater bike, being out with other cycling commuters in below freezing weather, the way u-locks are tucked into pants just so and crossing guards yelling "Happy Friday" as I pedal by.

Collaboration:

I love working with cyclists - so many have a really keen design sense and it shows when they ride (see inspiration, above). I've made so many fantastic custom caps for customers based on their suggestions.

I also love to send caps out into the world as gifts for your next fundraiser and now am working on custom caps for cycling teams and businesses.
