My name is Marcie and I have ADD, designer's ADD. Creatively, I find myself jumping between techniques and materials almost daily. I started out bead weaving and jumped into tutorial writing and then caught the metal bug. Sawing silver and copper gave way to the laminate you see before you and most nights, after baby has gone to bed, I find myself elbow deep in my own sketches, formica tiles, and copper wire. The results of those late nights have become my new obsession and I'm sharing them here with you.

I make everything with my own two hands and usually don't make the exact same thing twice (I blame it on the ADD). I'm self-taught from the School of Trial and Error which can be both aggravating and rewarding. My materials are sourced by me and I'm grateful to the local wholesalers and design firms that let me sift through their laminate…

Way back when, I named my shop La Bella Joya. It's Spanish, Beautiful Jewel, and while I do occasionally work with real, actual jewels, I like to live by the old adage, "One man's trash is another man's treasure."
