ABOUT THE ENCHANTED CIRCLE
Saint Jo, Texas

My shop is named after the standing stone circle my husband built for me at my 10 acre farm. The banner on my store front is a picture of my circle.

I love the idea of time traveling. The book, OUTLANDER by Diana Gabaldon, has people that time-travel through stone circles. I liked that idea so we built my stone circle.

Growing up the only daughter (and only girl in my neighborhood) in my family I liked all things magical and enchanted. As a young girl I made little faerie clothes for my doll.
I still like the thought that there are faeries in my world so I still make faerie clothes and wings…

MADE IN AMERICA BY ME...AN AMERICAN *laughing*

Really though don't you hate outsourcing? I think we should try to help everyone we can, but we need to start at home first.

If you are buying from me you are getting personal service.

ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Indiana. I lived in Tennessee for a year then I came to Texas.

I've been "sewing" since I was 8 years old. I've made real clothing (you know...the kind that fits and is recognizable) since I was 14 and that was many years ago.

ABOUT MY DESIGNS

Most of the time once I design an item I can turn around and make it with little to no problems. Occasionally an item will give me a struggle. *laughing*

I once made a beautiful gold and blue cape for my friend Connie. It was amazing the struggle I had working on that cape. I like balance in the items I make. I have a hard time with asymmetry in clothing. I wanted to sew a circle at the center back of this cape...it wouldn't let me. The cape wanted the "sun"/circle to the left of the cape. Guess what? It would only sew onto the left of the center back seam. My capes are totally reversible so when I got to the front of the cape I wanted a crescent moon on the "inside" of this cape. The cape wanted the moon on the outside. I won that time and put it on the inside of the cape at the hemline. Seriously, I hung that cape up for days and tried to have my way with it. That cape ended up exactly how it wanted to be...except for the crescent moon. Here is the rest of the story. Every step Connie takes in this cape the side where the crescent moon is sewn...flaps open so the whole world can see that moon. I guess I didn't win after all. *laughing*

WHY YOU MIGHT WANT TO BUY FROM ME

All of the items I sew are made like clothing. I don't make fast, inexpensive costumes like you buy from Walmart. The faerie outfits I make will last for ages. My tutus have been handed down through 3 and four children. When you buy from me you get your money's worth.

Over the years I've become very concerned with being "green". Many of my items are made from previously loved clothing. Everything I buy is washed before I cut and sew.
