About

I'm a Grandma and by marriage a Great Grandma. Fabric has always fascinated me. Mom taught me how to sew when I was ten, but it's what I can create other than clothes that really excites me.

A girl's night out took me to a basket making class at our local junior college. My first attempts were quite pathetic, so they wound up in the basement. Many years later, when I was wandering around the Bristol Renaissance Faire I came up with the idea of draw-string rag baskets.

They are perfect for keeping your valuables secure while you wander the faire and compliment the Renaissance grab. So, I made myself one and got bit by the basket bug. Now I can't stop making baskets.

However, I have ventured off into other avenues of scrap art. I can't throw anything away. While making baskets, the fabric I use ravels, so I save all those little threads. I braid some of them and I wrap some of them around pieces of scrap cardboard and then create my scrap art pictures. It's really hard to show the detail of these works of art in photographs, but I try.

I thank God, my Creator, for making me creative and dedicate my little shoppe to His honor and glory.

Colossians 3:17, "And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."
