Jenny Fillius' Profile

About

I find cookie tins in thrift stores, yard sales and even dumpsters. I collect it, clean it, and flatten it (sometimes using my car to back over it). Then it is ready to be cut with tin snips into the shapes I need and nailed to plywood or pop riveted together. The tin shapes are like puzzle pieces that are collaged together to make a whole image. I am discovering new ways to manipulate the tin and looking forward to creating even more varied work in the future.
