About

For 30 years I have been making pottery in my studio in Ithaca,NY. I work alone and each pot I throw is made as a one-of-a-kind piece, When the clay is sufficiently dry I hand-build animals to serve as finials and decoration, probably having been inspired by classes I attended as a young child at the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester ny.

After firing I glaze many pieces white and these are the most fun-Each one presents me with a fresh canvas on which I paint. My major at SU was in illustration
and I love brushwork.

I think my sense of humor and whimsy is evident and I really do hope to extract a smile from a child as well as an adult when using these pieces!
