I HAVE READ, RESEARCHED, EXPERIMENTED, AND PRACTICED ALL SORTS OF KNITTING, crocheting, and needlework arts for many years, and my real passion is designing and knitting beautiful and unique items. SOMETIMES I ADD WHIMSEY (as in some of my designs for pets), and SOMETIMES I GO FOR PURE LUXURY (as in some of the cashmere or silk items I make). OCCASSIONALLY MY NEEDLES HAVE A MIND OF THEIR OWN. But always I strive for a unique item which you can rest assured is special in many ways.

My mother taught me to knit and crochet during fifth grade and I spent that entire summer knitting my first project---a cabled cardigan in bright red. People ask why would I choose such a difficult project for my very first effort? Since those early days I have learned so much more about the art of knitting and designing garments, and my "artistic horizons" have expanded tremendously. I will be attending the Vogue Knitting Convention in Manhattan in January 2011 for design classes to futher improve my skills.
