I was born smack in the middle of the 1950s to a mother who was not your average June Cleaver. Every morning she would sit with us for hours at the kitchen table and we would make things. During our trips to the fabric store, I learned to tell 100% cotton, wool and silk by the touch, and I still drive mom nuts when I pinch a piece of fabric between my fingers and declare “this is not all cotton!” The oldest of four, I inherited all of her genes that make it impossible to not make things.
My passion for art is only equaled by my passion for reading, so it makes sense that I ended up majoring in Illustration at Massachusetts College of Art. I graduated with a BFA in 1977 and have made my living for the past 35 years working full-time as an Art Director in the corporate world.
I’ve come full-circle and am getting back to my roots…
