Leah Franklin's Profile

About

Hi! My name is Leah Franklin. I live with my husband and furry family in the lovely Pacific Northwest. Art is my passion. Oil paintings are my current obsession. We are a family of animal lovers. Our home is simply overrun with kitties and a big dog. My husband is a fisheries biologist with a great love of the outdoors. In 2008, I just got a wild hair to paint. My stepmother commissioned an amazing painting from the extremely talented artist, Jennifer Williams, that simply drove me mad with inspiration. I still do a great deal of human/animal work, but the works for sale in this shop reflect my current obsession with landscapes. In particular, painting water makes me very happy.

And please, feel free to contact me about doing a custom piece using a photograph of a place, person or animal special to you. I would love it.

Also, I have a Facebook page where I share my favorite pieces: Leah Franklin Art
