Hey!

We reached the end of the year goal: 100 sales!!! I am so thankful that this little business experiment has been successful. I have learned so much about many aspects of entrepreneurship, starting and running a small business and marketing my own creations. That said, I am going to be temporarily putting on hold/ indefinitely closing the shop on January 8th. So, if you are a fan and would like to buy something ;) you might want to do so before January 8th. Use the code 10PERCENTOFF on your order to receive, well, 10% off your total order. Thanks everyone! <3

Why the name? It's partly my name, Lesley, and my "Cargo", or my stuff; but it's also a play on the french "l'escargot" meaning cooked snail, a delicacy in France. And while that may not sound appetizing to some, remember how cute and adorable they are when they're alive!…

Why the name? It's partly my name, Lesley, and my "Cargo", or my stuff; but it's also a play on the french "l'escargot" meaning cooked snail, a delicacy in France. And while that may not sound appetizing to some, remember how cute and adorable they are when they're alive! Snails are a creature we think of as disgusting when we step on them, but they're really just little Gary's mooching along making their happy little way through your garden. Appreciate the snail. And give every person's art a chance because it is a representative of their personality. :)

I'm a college student selling my favorite creations to help save up for school next year as I'm considering going to an out of state college, to hopefully find something not too time-consuming that will help with the cost, while I actively search for a job!

Notes: I strive for quality over quantity... I'm happy with my little shop, and I do spend a lot of time thinking about good combinations and then making them with care. Each handmade item is classy and fashionable so that you can wear it with confidence! :)

Copying...I've heard some people are worried about etsy shop owners copying their items.. I get my inspiration from nature, from antique stores, from bright colors, from general trends that I like. I incorporate some or all of those into each item in my shop, and would not intentionally copy someone else's work.. believe me, I have a younger sibling who used to copy everything I do, and I know how it feels. I would take a trend like the infinity scarf for example, and make my own version of it, but not look at someone's infinity scarf they made and replicate it to the detail. Just felt like putting that out there... not sure why, but it's just something I've been thinking about, in regards to etsy. :)
