I learned to crochet as a teenager. My dad would jokingly tell my sister and I that "You can't make money pulling string.". Well, after several of my afghan designs got published, (and I made money pulling string!! ;) I went to art school. I loved every minute of it. My favorites (and it is really hard to choose because I loved so much!) were ceramics and jewelry making. I was passable as a ceramicist even though I loved it, but I really had a passion for jewelry making.

I have made jewelry since 1997 on and off. I teach as kindergarten teacher by day, but I make jewelry at night. I am fortunate to have a studio that was nearly impossible to use the last 6 years, ( My sons demanded a lot of my time,). But my youngest finally let me use wire, so I started working with wire the last six months or so. He is letting me leave him with his dad so I can have studio time also. So I get to make beautiful pieces of jewelry with wire and metal. I hope that my jewelry gets to find homes of their own. They each have a piece of me in them, so I hope that you find something that converses with you.

I create one of a kind pieces with unique gemstones and metalsmithing techniques. This is my artistic outlet. I love using new and different gemstones, colors and textures. I love to start with a design in mind and see it to fruition. It makes me happy to find those special gemstones who tell me exactly what needs to be done to make it into a beautiful one of a kind piece of jewelry.

I also enjoy using beads and wire to create fun pieces using wirewrapping, stringing and hand forming techniques. Some pieces are extremely simple, while other pieces are more elaborate. These pieces I get to have fun creating quickly for a better price point , not to mention when my youngest won't let me in the studio! I can make several of my beaded pieces in more precious metals, just converse with me for a quote!

I love to use new materials that I find inspiring and can draw my creativity from. I hope that you find a piece that you can fall in love with and want to wear! Enjoy looking through my shop and let me know how I can help YOU!
