Tracie's Profile

About

My name is Tracie and I live in a small town among the forests of Western Washington state. It is very beautiful here, but it rains a lot. The rain gives us the gorgeous countryside, lakes, and rain forests that make this area so romantic.

I am currently working as a school psychologist evaluating students with special needs. I am also starting up a business doing homestudies for people wishing to adopt children. My website is www.my-family-matters.com

I have two children; one is in Art college, and one in High school.

I am enjoying this time in my life. Taking a break to grow my creative side has been very restorative for me. I enjoy scouring thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and vintage fairs for that one special treasure. I am drawn to the old, tarnished, rusty, or well used…

I am enjoying this time in my life. Taking a break to grow my creative side has been very restorative for me. I enjoy scouring thrift stores, yard sales, estate sales, and vintage fairs for that one special treasure. I am drawn to the old, tarnished, rusty, or well used pieces with a story to tell.

My latest passion is redoing, repurposing, or ‘upcycling’ things I find. My kids hate the word ‘upcycle’ so I use it to bug them. I like to take old furniture and see if I can bring it back to life with a new and updated look.

I used recycled packaging materials for shipping whenever possible to keep costs down and the environment clean.

You can find me on Facebook where I post new items, before and after pictures and interesting vintage info I find here and there at http://www.facebook.com/lifeinstages

I also tweet -Twitter at http://www.twitter.com/lifeinstages

I have a Blog where I write about my life, family, projects I am working on, or other random thoughts that shout to get out. You can check it out here: http://mylifeinstages.blogspot.com
