Mathilde's Profile

About

I love wool and spinning! I live in the Pacific Northwest, and I am surrounded by small sheep farms raising heritage breeds with care and kindness. I strive to support them by buying locally-produced wool, especially from rare sheep breeds. My favorite part of fiber arts is wool processing, so I end up with lots of handspun yarn and not enough mittens! I raise German and French angora rabbits for fiber - the only sheep I can have where I live - and I teach spinning, knitting and wool processing.

I recently picked up everything and moved to a tiny town in the middle of the forest. I live in a magical cottage filled with antique spinning wheels and bursting with wool. I'm going back to school to pursue my dreams, and I'm pouring lots of effort into my wee fiber business so that I can support the bunnies' life of luxury.
