Monica Gallagher's Profile

About

Hi there! I'm Monica Gallagher, and welcome to my Etsy shop. This is my own little corner of the world where I get to store all of my comic books, stories, sketches, and finished prints.

I've been on Etsy since 2007 (before it was under a different shop name n' stuff). I like to create little worlds for my characters to roam around in, where the drab life of the everyday is constantly infiltrated by the weird and imaginary. My books range from the autobiographical Boobage, to the college adventure Gods & Undergrads, to the swanky life of a model/hitwoman in Lipstick & Malice, to the office politics of rollergirls in Bonnie N. Collide, Nine to Five.

I am a self-published comic book writer/artist when I'm not working full-time as a graphic artist. I trained and skated with the Charm City Roller Girls as a member of the JunkYard Dolls for over a year, but…

About

I trained and skated with the Charm City Roller Girls as a member of the JunkYard Dolls for over a year, but unfortunately noooo more time to commit to the wonder that is roller derby. Boo. However I'm still out here cheering for all of you lovely skaters! And go Dolls!

I also post regular updates, artwork, and notes on my comics making process at my blog at http://eatyourlipstick.com/blog/.

I heart lipstick, greek mythology, roller derby, bloody mary's, and living in Baltimore with my boyfriend and our dueling cats. I love hearing feedback - drop me a note here, or go to my website at http://eatyourlipstick.com.

Everything I do is made right here in Charm City - Baltimore, Maryland.
