About

====== A B O U T ======

Hello, my name is Art. I'm an art student living in Lancaster Pennsylvania.

I study graphic design, printmaking and biology.
I also like illustration, sculpting, sewing, and some other fastidious things. I am obsessed with plants, woodgrain, and miniatures. Also amoebas, probably.

My work tends to thematically revolve around overpopulation, thought process and human interaction, and obsession with taxonomy and classification. And then there are other times when I make stuff because it looks cool and science-y or is just plain cute. I'm a sucker for cute things and pointlessly drawing faces on inanimate objects.

Just some things about how I work. I silkscreen on a really small scale, going to the studio and either doing orders as they come in or doing a batch at a time. I do everything by hand including prepairing my screens and mixing my ink colours. I'm just some kid, not a big factory or anything. I'm really environmentally conscious. I even deliver your packages to the post office by my bicycle, haha.

When I screen print, I test print on the same pieces of newsprint over and over and over because I hate making waste. The spare pieces of fabric that I have left over from projects usually are used to make other, smaller projects. When I make small plush things I stuff them with organic fibers I collect from cat tail plants.

The material I use is usually from leftover bins in fabric stores, or from thrift places or old clothing. I also like to work with found objects. I wash everything thoroughly first.

I kind of obsessively compulsively reuse things, so don't be surprised if I ship things in weird reused boxes and packages.
