About

I was born and raised in Connecticut into a large boisterous family of eccentric artists and gardeners. I was an unusually quiet child but learned early on (2nd grade) that the right image(a tap dancing frog) could bring recognition and creative satisfaction. Many happy years passed.
I studied study graphic design at Parsons School of Design, working joyfully creating award winning corporate annual reports, brochures, logos, and Zabar’s first mail order catalog. I loved volunteering with the Green Guerillas turning empty lots in into community gardens. My heart and green thumb brought me back to Vermont. Buoyed by the birth of my daughter I started drawing again... dancing bunnies, jumping cats and brightly colored monsters. I designed and produced a sweet doll named after my daughter Elizabeth. My note cards and Vermont Lizzy Doll developed a devoted following of collectors. A line of pillows and rugs followed. And Lizzy told me to stop naming stuff after her.
My illustrations adorn packaging for a variety of Vermont specialty food products- Uncle Daves Ketchup, Vermont organic baby food, Wagatha's dog biscuits , Little Rooster Pancake and granola packaging... brownie mixes...

What a wonderful(not so small)community I have discovered on Etsy. So glad to be here . Thanks for such wonderful support. Dale
