How and Why I came out with Locking Straps !!!!

I came out with this idea when, I try to baby proof my home. I went out to the regular babies stores in town, and online. I grabbed everything possible to make sure that I was going to be a certified Baby Proof Home. My first child started exploring, just after she turn twelve months, but once she got older ( two years), the regular latches didn’t stop her. She started mimic my moves and later she learned how to open the drawers and doors. I had to do something to stop her, since I have another baby in my hands, and that is how I started thinking in a new way to “baby proof” my home to protect her most important, but also to protect any valuable or important item from her. I also look into an easier way to do it, that doesn’t require tools or hardware. The result was a fastening hook and loop strap with a buckle as simple as that!!!, she couldn’t open any more the doors or drawers !!!!!.

Every child is different, and this an alternative to consider. I have spoken to many moms, and we all agree that we have to look into what ever works to keep them safe, and even sometimes we have to combine different products in one place. The only one that can confirm that a product is “childproof” is your baby and/or toddler at your home. This product DOES NOT replace supervision over the child.

This is a great product to use in your home, around toddler from age one to three, children with special needs, challenge adults , at the grandparents house, at the vacation place, or where ever you go. Keep in mind that you can remove the strap and use them in a new location, you only have to buy the stripe(re fill) to stick it in the new place. The locking straps for appliances are not re usable.

P.D. I am a Mom with a B.S. Industrial Engineer, and I am always trying to find solutions for problems and improve process. This is a result of that. The search, design and testing were conducted too.
