I started canning 3 years ago for a local family owned farm - Gazy Brothers Farm, Oxford, CT. Alexis Gazy gave me my start and the flexibility to can whatever I wanted to with the produce that didn't sell at market that day. They either canned what didn't sell or donated to local food banks. I was able to preserve some of the harvest and we all enjoyed fresh canned fruits and vegetables through out the winter months.
Eventhough canning is hot, time consuming and sometimes very tedious - I absolutely love to can. Its all about preserving. I love creating delicious jams, pickles and salsa's and my family loves to taste test my creations. I have a wonderful partner Cole who helps me prepare all the fruits and vegetables.
