The wisdom and knowledge of other potters who are willing to share what they've learned continues to play a crucial part in my development.

About my work:

My pottery is made on the wheel, hand-built, or produced using a combination of techniques.

I fire the majority of my work in an electric kiln. I also have a soda kiln that I fire several times a year. I use food safe slips and glazes on my work.

Pottery is a craft that presents many variables. Sometimes this can lead to new discoveries and great joy. Other times it can lead to disappointment and frustration. I think the element of "chance" is another aspect of pottery that appeals to me. It probably reminds me of nature and her quirkiness! And appeals to my own quirky nature!

When I'm not potting.....
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially our grand-sons, and spending time outdoors in my garden or just walking in the woods.
