I started making jewelry as a kid, then continued through college and after, when I designed jewelry for the Gap and Nordstrom. After a stint in London at Central St. Martins College of Art & Design, I picked up a degree in jewelry design, a husband, and an inexplicable tolerance for terrible British pop music. Upon returning to San Francisco in 2002, I started Lorinczi Jewelry.
I create stuff that straddles the divide between gallery and boutique, which sometimes leaves me in no-man’s-land: too commercial for galleries, too edgy for jewelry stores, too artistic for your average fashion boutique. Regardless of the venue, I love to create custom jewelry (engagement rings and wedding bands for men and women are a specialty), and collections that merge my interest in fashion with my fascination with the natural world.
