About

My grandmother was an incredible knitter. I remember being fascinated watching her as a child; it was magical! She would give me bits of beautiful silk and wool yarn to play with, and I still have some of those bits today. They are among my most treasured possessions.

I think it's because of my grandmother's influence that the quality of the wool, silk, and other fibers I use has always been very important to me. As knitters, crocheters, spinners, and weavers, we spend quite a bit of time with our projects while we are creating them. Having truly beautiful yarn and fiber to create with can be a great balm for our spirits. A few other random things about myself: I love to laugh, listen to music, eat, hang out with my family and friends, and to create. I love rock hopping, David Sedaris, green tea ice cream, and I was bitten by a monkey once and am pretty sure I now have some monkey DNA in me. There can be no other explanation for my quirks or superpowers.

Thank you for visiting me here at Lotusland Yarns!
