My grandmother was an incredible knitter. I remember being fascinated watching her as a child; it was magical! She would give me bits of beautiful silk and wool yarn to play with, and I still have some of those bits today. They are among my most treasured possessions.
I think it's because of my grandmother's influence that the quality of the wool, silk, and other fibers I use has always been very important to me. As knitters, crocheters, spinners, and weavers, we spend quite a bit of time with our projects while we are creating them. Having truly beautiful yarn and fiber to create with can be a great balm for our spirits. I always start with the highest quality wools and silks, and then I add to that a unique dye process which highlights the natural luminescence of the fiber itself. The result is that Lotusland yarns glow with color and light, and always feel wonderful to the touch…
