Hello Lover of ALL Things Handmade and Joy-Full!! My name is Kristin Love and I am a Clay Artist, Painter and Designer residing in the amazing Pacific Northwest. I live, play and work here with a respectful commitment to all things Beautiful in the Natural World {great and small}, and a deep Reverence for the Wondrous Gifts of the Universe. I absolutely ♥LOVE♥ what I do, and it would not be possible without people like you supporting me by buying my Handmade Pottery and Art....THANK YOU!

As the daughter of a Marine, I spent my childhood moving quite a bit, but my *LOVE* of Art landed me in Boston at the Massachusetts College of Art where I majored in Illustration and Photography. Over the past 25 years I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and over a dozen foreign countries capturing the diverse traditions of arts and images through my photos, sketches, and journals to use as inspiration in my own designs. I consider my work a celebration of the Eclectic, Colorful, and Passionate World we all live in, and a Joyful Salutation to the Artist in all of us.

Here is one of my most Cherished Quotes and it describes my Philosophy regarding Customer Service:

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you say, they’ll forget what you do, but they will never forget how you make them feel.” Maya Angelou

I hope that coming to my little Shop in the corner of the Etsy Universe and perhaps purchasing one {or more!} of my Unique Pottery pieces and having interactions with me is a Peace-full and Happy Experience and that you leave feeling like one of my Favorite Words: YAY!!!!
:)

*♡*♥*♡*☮AND, Here's a STORY*♡*♥*♡*
I have been asked numerous times how I came up with my shop name and so I wanted to write something about that. Since "LOVE" is my last name and I have had quite a journey with it for sometime now (I'm over 40, that's all I'm sayin'...!), I wanted to use it in my Shop name somehow. But I had all these requirements: I didn't want it to sound "hokey" or ridiculously "sexy" or woefully "corny". I wanted something that represented in 4 words or less my Philosophy about my Art: that it matters, that it's positive and that it's important, even if only to me. And it suddenly came to me that it WORKS....for me, on all kinds of different levels and it is not only my "Work" but it is how I reach out to others visually, with a Positive, Inspirational, Universally Spiritual and always Loving Energy straight from my Heart.
And so Love Art Works was born.
:)

♡♥♡♥Also, I am Absolutely Honored to collaborate with a Wonderful, Wise and VERY Knowledgeable Potter and Good Friend on some of my pieces and this is specified in the individual listings. Her name is Vicki Hamilton and here is her Website so you can read more about her if you would like:

*♥*A Note on My Environmental Footprint and the "GREENING" of my Pottery!*♥*
I am committed to making pottery that is both beautiful and durable, designed for many years of joyful service and smiles, and to this end, I make environmentally friendly choices whenever possible, and produce my pottery with generations of sustainability in mind.
As I mentioned in my Shop Announcement, I use a kiln that is powered by "Wind Energy", made possible through a renewable program offered by the Seattle Power Company called GREEN UP! If you would like more information on what that means please do not hesitate to contact me.
I also use local stoneware and paper clays for my pieces, so less energy is used trucking it to Seattle and also in the firing process of my kiln. When copper wire is used for hanging, it is salvaged from my husband's construction sites.
I'm also a "GREEN" Shipper, please see my Shipping Policies for more information.
I believe that together, by buying Handmade and making Conscious Choices about our impact on this Planet, we can all make a difference!! ♥ :)

♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡ETSY PROJECT EMBRACE♡♥♡♥♡♥♡♥♡
Etsy Project Embrace (EPE) is a Universal Coalition of Artists whose main purpose is to create awareness and support for people who have been diagnosed and are suffering with Cancer, whatever kind it may be. Together as a Team we are unified in reaching out to others by creating Treasuries, posting in our personal blogs and shop announcements, sharing personal stories, comfort and knowledge to those in need...this is the core of what EPE stands for! We have an EPE fundraiser page on the American Cancer Society (ACS) website and one on the American Hospice Foundation (AMF) website. Together, with caring, hope, compassion and love we can create awareness and make a difference! If you have any questions about our Team, would like to join us in an official capacity, or just find out more about how you can help, please do not hesitate to contact me!!

We have an Article written about us in the Etsy Online BLOG!!! Please take a moment to read all about this wondrous Team:
