For many artists, and especially for me...art happens when I get in the stillness. That 'quiet place' when my hand and heart connect and Spirit flows through...

I love how art evolves over time. I began working as a professional freelance calligraphic artist about thirty years ago, combining the beauty of letters with hand drawn designs.

During that time, an angel came to me in a dream....and Angel Ariane came into the world and found her way across the U.S. through the, (now retired), Red Rose Collection Catalog…

I love how art evolves over time. I began working as a professional freelance calligraphic artist about thirty years ago, combining the beauty of letters with hand drawn designs.

Moving to Cape Cod several years ago, (this joyful place where I I had spent my happiest childhood summers), my art evolved once again. It began with wintertime walks by the sea, with the cold winds causing me to wrap a scarf around my neck and tighten my coat...and led to a precious gathering of sea stones which then became the "canvas" to my calligraphy and designs. That gathering continues, as I walk the many beautiful beaches that surround us on Cape Cod.

There is a sacredness within each stone. Shaped by the constant rhythms of the sea over time, they hold a calming energy within. I feel a serenity as I hold each stone in my hands while creating on them. It continues to amaze me that what I hold in my hands as I create, has evolved over millions of years. Can we really understand what energy they must possess?.. Most times I do not have a 'planned' design in mind. Instead, I allow the stone to 'whisper it to me'.

Other gifts from nature call to my spirit as well...driftwood, branches, and feathers are often decorated with bits of copper wire and beautiful glass beads.

Another passion...Journals....
A powerful connection between heart and spirit that flows out onto the pages through words, symbols and artwork. A 'safe harbor' for our souls to rest and find some peace. A place to let go... Or a place where we can jot down the things our hearts are grateful for before we turn off the lights each night. A place for healing ...creating...and recording memories that will live on.

A generous portion of every purchase is donated to organizations dedicated to finding a cure for cancer. I have received so many blessings as I journeyed through cancer, and this is my humble way of being able to give back to others who may be on their own healing journey...or know someone who is.
