Meet Stephanie Founder of and chief designer/maker for Threaded
When even the best available products fail to meet life’s demands, Stephanie’s muse – her creative inspiration – sets in. Despite growing up around great seamstresses, it took motherhood to set Stephanie’s wheels in motion. She began by collecting small scraps of her children’s clothing to design her first quilt, but soon a background in outdoor leadership, the demands of motherhood and an eye for creative problem solving formed a new muse: Creating supremely functional and incredibly durable items that are life-proof and designed specifically for fashion-minded, hard-working women. Between toting her two boys to and from the pool and ball games, and the demands of everyday life, there’s no shortage of inspiration. The desire for something better has led to everything from super expansive, splash-proof beach bags—that hold everything but the kitchen sink—and picnic blankets that withstand the abuse of wet grass and ball cleats, to teachers’ totes that are tough enough to span generations of students. Meanwhile, her impeccable eye for fashion has grabbed the attention of brides, wedding planners, and bridal websites nationwide.
