About

Im a mamma raising 3 little Lovelies completely on my own. We live on a lovely Island on the West Coast of Canada. Myself and one of my Lovelies have special challenges so my sewing takes its time around my families needs first. Sewing allows me to stay home and give myself and my son the care we could not get working in a 9-5 career.

I love being an artist and a crafts person, I love seeing my ideas come to life. I rarely use patterns (only for doll bodies, and those are made from patterns Ive made on my own). I am trying to supplement my small monthly income by making and selling as much cuteness as possible.

I use local materials in my Waldorf dolls. I get the wool that I use for my filling from a woman with a few sheep just up the road from me. I get my cotton skin material from another woman in my Province. The wool I use on their hair has been spun and dyed by a local woman, and Im learning to dye and spin for myself. I strive to use all natural materials and repurposed or recycled materials. So much clothing goes to the landfills every year because of a few stains or missing buttons. Im trying to stop that happening from our home and the homes of my friends by up cycling what I can from all of our own old clothing. I even save every little button I find on the ground, or from old clothes.
