Gayle Shirey's Profile
I've been crocheting since the end of 2006, voraciously gathering my stash and patterns, and hooking til the wee hours and enjoying every minute.
I learned to crochet from my maternal grandmother when I was very young. I'd only dabbled in it once or twice over the years...until now!
I started out (late 2006) by making a couple dozen scarves, then tried an afghan and pillow, moved on and ended up falling in love with bags. Bags of all kinds and styles and made with all types of yarns. I truly enjoy the feel of the yarn after it's been knotted up into a fabric...the touch, weight, give, drape, etc. It's therapeutic!
It makes me happy to have this hobby that gave so much to my Grandmother and now to me. I know she's proud of me = )…
