I developed a strong connection to working with clay some years ago. Through that connection, the journey led me to working and playing with molten glass, my ultimate obsession. Ceramics and glass are similar in their characteristics. Firing pots and melting glass happens at nearly the same temperature, and glaze on pottery is glass. In Glass Blowing," it's like playing with glaze and leaving the clay behind". Though, there will always be need and room for pottery in this world. The skill of working clay has been around as long as humans. I take my place at the end of an expansive lineage.
When I'm not working on ceramics or glass, I'm developing my primitive wilderness survival skills as taught to me by family and friends at the Tracker School. Survival is an art .
