Hello and thanks for stopping by!!!

OMG ... I am simply CRAZY for hammered copper. The range of colors depending upon the firing process are amazing, but my favs are the rich deep hues of darkened honey amber and bronze. So warm and friendly, like a comfy winter fire. And the soft buttery feel after its been heated, hammered, filed, sanded and sealed ... its a love affair I just cant explain.

I've always been crafty but started making jewelry in the late 90's, just kinda piddling around till. I've experimented with macrame, bead weaving, stringing, wire wrapping, viking knit, and most recently hammered metal. I give a lot of jewelry as gifts, and most of my sales are offline. I like experimenting and a lot of my stuff is ... well just different lol, it's not mainstream you won't find it…

I've always been crafty but started making jewelry in the late 90's, just kinda piddling around till. I've experimented with macrame, bead weaving, stringing, wire wrapping, viking knit, and most recently hammered metal. I give a lot of jewelry as gifts, and most of my sales are offline. I like experimenting and a lot of my stuff is ... well just different lol, it's not mainstream you won't find it in any store and you won't see me selling 20 of the same thing. It's nice to sell an item, but I dont create to sell, I create because the real joy is in the making :).

Although I joined ETSY in 2009 and listed a few items, after about 6 months I took a long sabatical and just became active again in March 2012.

My most favorite thing to do in ETSY is make treasuries, paying homage to fellow crafts folk, artisans, and people that find unusual ways to create beauty.

I live in a big old house on Lake Murray in SC, surrounded by woods, owls, canadian geese, squirrels, foxes and deer. Its remote, peaceful and perfect. I can hear the wind swooshing through the trees when a storm is approaching, watch the sunlight dance on the water, and most importantly of all ... the silence, broken only by birds calling to one another ... and the sound of my hammer.

Confession shhhh dont tell anyone ....I might be a hoarder cuz I've got a studio filled to the max with gemstones, beads, glass, fabric, crystals, metals, wood, bone, vintage, new ... it doesn't matter. If it can be used in jewelry and I'm attracted to the colors, feel, or just something quirky about at item, I snatch it right up.

An avid supporter of fellow Etsians, I prefer to make my purchases from them rather than commercial venues when I can. You might find some of their products incorporated into my pieces, if so I will try to include their shop name.

Peace, love and light to you and thanks again for shopping ETSY!!
