About

My inspiration to create fantasy art and mythical art comes from my love of nature and folklore. My ideas are often sparked from my dreams, visions brought about whats happening in my life in the present. I use my art to create harmony between man, animals and nature.

Some of my artworks inspire me to write stories and poems, these help me to bring my visions alive. Painting is like a meditation which helps me to feel at one with nature and harmonise to the beautiful world around me.

My mermaids are about healing our seas. My Green men and Shaman are the careers of the forest and trees, they listen to everything with hearts and leaves. My faeries connect me to imagination, inspiration and visualisation, the endless source of inspiration.

Colour is another passion of mine, my favourite colours are greens, purples and turquoise, but I love all colours. I like to use acrylic paints and I paint in a watercolour style. The beauty of acrylic paint is I can build the intensity of colour up with layers, watercolour you can not do that with as its water soluble. When the acrylic drys it leaves a permanent layer allowing you to add more, which helps me to create depth, and really brings out vibrant colours.

Artists who inspire me :)

A. Andrew Gonzalez's - His work is amazing I love the spiritual feel to his women they put me a a state of peace, love and connectedness. He uses an airbrush to create his work, something I used to do a long time ago. The airbrush gives his work a soft smooth feel, a simple perfection.

Stephanie Pui-Mun Law - I love her visions, feelings within her work, theres magic in her art and I love how her art makes me feel. She uses watercolour and I love the textures she has in her work.

Julia Helen Jeffrey - I love her folklore art which had a real organic feeling, I really love the flow of her work and the passion behind the models she uses.
