Luz M. Vargas Sairitupac's Profile
I am an artisan jeweler from the beautiful country of Peru. Growing up, my family grew our own food, raised our own animals, and sustained ourselves on a small rural plot of agricultural land.
My passion for nature and art drove me to start my small business “Sumaq Sairi” selling hand-crafted jewelry. In Quechua, the language of the native people of the Andes, “Sumaq” means beautiful and “Sairi” means noble, and it is also short for my mother’s maiden name, Sairitupac
I have been making Eco-friendly jewelry by repurposing orange peels, lime peels, melon seeds and many other natural seeds. My designs are inspired by the nature and culture I grew up in.
I hope to bring the most beautiful, unique and Eco-friendly jewelry to you!
