I have loved crafts all my life. When my children were very young, I became involved in making stained glass windows, crocheting, knitting, painting, and finally making antique reproduction porcelain dolls as a hobby and a way to relax when my babies were asleep. I had to go out into the business world to find a job and the dolls and other crafts were put on hold. Finally, I retired a couple of years ago and decided I would love to make dolls again. I discovered Etsy in February 2009, and I registered as a buyer under the user name lovetoknit2. Little did I know! I should have registered as lovetobead! One day I was searching for tiny mother of pearl buttons for doll dresses when I came across vintage German glass beads. A whole new world opened for me. I was hooked. I have been buying vintage and modern glass beads, semi-precious gemstones, components, etc., since I joined Etsy. I purchased dozens of books, attended classes and searched the Internet. After making many pieces of jewelry and giving them away as presents, last December I decided to start selling my handcrafted items.

From my 2 + years experience as a buyer under the lovetoknit2 name, I learned how a customer should be treated. I received excellent (100% positive) feedback as a buyer, as well. Please check my feedback at: http://www.etsy.com/people/lovetoknit2?ref=pr_profile

I welcome you to my shop. I hope you like what you see and I invite you to come by often, as I will be adding more items that I hope will be of interest to you.

My Favorite Materials are: French cotton lace, porcelain, old silk ribbon, stained glass, gemstones, sterling silver, tiny mop buttons, embroidery thread, glass beads, vintage beads

Thank you!
Maria
