My name is Kathy Loomis and I started Misfits Furnishings in February of 2011. What really started out as a lifelong passion for refinishing worn out antique pieces of furniture for myself, has turned into a home base business. I enjoy the process from finding the pieces in thrifts shops, side of the road or yard sales and then designing the outcome of the pieces. My mission at MISFITS FURNISHINGS is to revive antiquated and vintage furniture that can become your next family heirloom!


My creations are recognized for their originality and uniqueness. My true passion is restoring worn and used pieces of furniture. I give them an updated look and make them a functional piece of furniture for someone to use in their home!
