I am a stranded construction worker. That's what happens when your husband's job is steadier and his benefits better when the two of you decide to have children. Besides, my obstetrician would have had cats if I had kept welding. Not being enthralled with housework I took up hobbies to avoid it. Reading. Writing. Brewing. Knitting. Spinning. Raising children. Gardening badly. Irony of ironies, I fell in love with soaping which pretty much demands a clean kitchen. Soaping is like knitting; a gateway hobby that leads inexorably to other related crafts. Yes, I have wool roving staking out the house as well as lip balms and lotions taking over the closets. You can't fool me; they have to have the same genetic components as tribbles.
