About

My first memories of sewing are those of sitting on the front porch sewing doll clothes with nothing more than a needle, thread, cloth and my hands.

I am a stay at home wife/mom/grandma with three wonderful grown children, two handsome grandsons and a sweet hubby who knows just how to put up with my creative eccentricities.

Trained at a local school of design in design and construction of children’s clothing, I began creating and selling my designs through prestigious children’s boutiques in Tennessee almost 30 years ago.

Because my orders have outgrown me, I have added a few special people to my shop. My other "job" (the one you do because you love it!!!) is teaching international refugees to sew. They have been legally settled in the US by the US Dept of State and have all their paperwork (social security cards, green card, visa, etc) in order.. See my site at www.sewforhope.org to see what we do. I have a select few of my students who sew with absolutely incredible skill. I have selected those few to help with my orders. I thoroughly supervise each garment and check for perfection before it goes out the door. They sew to support their families. I hope you will consider having us make your very special heirloom garments.
