About

My journey as an artist began in 1975 when I taught myself stained glass. In the early days, I was captivated by the play of light and color; my very first piece incorporated a stone I found while walking.
Since those early days, my love of nature has taken me to a deep study of crystals and minerals, including their healing and metaphysical properties. Shells, too, have stories to tell. A side path led me to study color therapy and Chakras (energy centers within our bodies).

I continued to refine my glasswork and began to incorporate beads into some of my pieces. From there it was natural to also move into beadwork jewelry using both glass and gemstone beads.
Each piece is made with clear intention for healing both on an individual and planetary basis. Each is a one of a kind work made with care and attention to detail. I believe that the responsibility of art is to restore beauty, peace, and healing into our chaotic world. My pieces celebrate the unparalleled beauty and magic of Nature and can be effectively used for contemplation or meditation.
At this stage of my life I am a wife, mother, grandmother of three, and dog companion. My passions include reading, writing (I am currently working on two books), baking, the continuing study of nature, ecology and conservation and canines, both wild and domestic ( with a particular love of golden retrievers).
