My work in the studio has long revolved around how we occupy a space, whether a home space or an emotional one. While my work speaks to the intangible aspects of experience like memory and time, I have also become increasingly aware of the tangible or tactile elements around me. This sensitivity has made the distance between my work and my life very small.
Making It Home, NY is a collection of objects/ images that I have made, refinished, repurposed or curated as an extension of my own aesthetic and the way that I ground myself in "home". This shop is an opportunity to share with others the elements I respond to - from cabinets to containers, from records to doorknobs, drawings and photographs - with the hopes that someone else might connect with them as well.
