I'm a single mother of a 7 year old boy. I wanted my son to have nice, quality toys, but couldn't afford them, so I bought a saw, and started making toys for my son when he was one and a half. I liked it so much, I decided to try my hand at selling them. I try to keep my prices as reasonable as possible, because I want beautiful toys to be affordable for everyone.
Since then, we have taken the business on the road for six months, before settling down in West Virginia so I would have permanent access to a workshop to better serve my customers.
My preferred medium is wood, but I'm also starting to branch out into sewing. I started making my son cashmere long underwear out of upcycled sweaters, and he loved them so much, that I really wanted to offer them to my customers.
