Mambo Vye Zo Komande LaMenfo's Profile

About

I am Mambo Asogwe and I work for the mysteries, those spirits and angels that walk with us each day. It is my mission to help the world see the beauty of Vodou. I do this through artwork, design and creative juxtapositions. I love religious artwork, and my interest took me to Haiti 11 years ago, where I was ordained as a priest of the island's beloved and beautiful religion. I created beautiful artwork that is inspired by my service to the Mysteries. Religious icons, personal prayer shrines and spiritual jewelry all find a place in my world view of creation, design and construction. I have over 30 years in the jewelry and art design industry. My light filled studio looks out onto lush gardens that inspire me to place nature at the center of my color palette. I collect stones and metals for color, feel, texture and weight. I love jewelery that has a "good hand" - you can feel the substance of materials.

I do commission work, as well as create magical talismans for those folks who wish to have specific ornamentation made for a certain affair or occasion. I follow the correct hours and planetary alignments, to insure that these pieces carry the full power of the intent behind them. If you are curious, then email me and we can discuss your particular request.
